Jazz opened Luxe Strand inside the Waterfront Leisure Centre at Gillingham Marina. It's a one-stylist salon: the person you book with is the person who does your hair. She specialises in silk presses, blow dries and smoothing treatments for every hair type, and books enough time to do each one properly — curly and coily hair gets extra time as standard.

How long does a silk press last?
Usually two to three weeks, depending on your hair, how you wrap it at night and whether it gets wet. Humidity and sweat will bring the curl back — that's the point of a silk press: no chemicals, so your natural texture returns when you wash.
Is it my first silk press with Jazz?
If you haven't had a silk press at Luxe Strand before, book the First Visit (£120). It includes a scalp cleanse, clarifying and moisture shampoos, Olaplex and a deep conditioning treatment, and gives Jazz the time to properly assess your hair. Returning clients book the Maintenance silk press (from £90).
Do I need a patch test?
For any colour, yes — a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment (£5 consultation and patch test). Smoothing treatments don't need one, but if you have a sensitive scalp mention it when you book.
Where do I park?
The Waterfront Leisure Centre has its own car park at Gillingham Marina, right by the salon.
